Sometimes a little extra help is all a person needs.
One-on-one attention from a qualified tutor can boost a child’s confidence and skill level in a matter of weeks.
If your child is between the school ages of K-6 and you live near Seminole, Florida, contact Rhonda Alvarez for your tutoring needs. She has over 25 years’ experience as an elementary and middle school teacher.
Once in awhile children need extra help with their schoolwork, and being tutored by a professional educator can make a difference in their skills, their grades and their self-esteem. While learning is an ongoing process, tutoring is designed to be short-termed with specific goals as decided by the parents, teacher(s) and the tutor. Depending on the child, tutoring sessions are usually one hour and filled with age appropriate and engaging activities designed to help the student toward specific goals. Also included in the tutoring time is charts of progress that the child can mark and see. These charts provide both a visual acknowlegement of the accomplishments and an incentive to continue improving in specific skills.
Tutoring can take place in my home or in a public library. My home is child free and pet free, with internet access for programs and space dedicated for tutoring. The local library (Seminole, Pinellas Park) is public and offers quiet places for student and tutor to be engaged in academic activities.
I hold a Master of Science degree in Elementary Eduation, have served as both a public and private educator for over 25 years, and enjoy working with school age children and their parents. If your child(ren) need(s) that extra time with a professional educator, please contact me. I can be reached by:
